“Minnetonka Takes Manhattan”
My friends, the Wenck Brothers, filmed and directed this summer anthem style video for the infamous Minnetonka Moccasins, a shoe company based out of Minnesota.
[For the record, I actually grew up in Minnetonka, Minnesota]
I went to the NYC premiere of Girl Walk All Day in Brooklyn last week.
This is a FANTASTIC FILM. Not only do a bunch of legitimately cool people dance to Girl Talk for 72 minutes, but this film has a story and it’s beautiful and hilarious and just plain awesome and you need to see at least this opening chapter.
From the Director Jacob Krupnick: “At the heart of Girl Walk All Day is this sense of how resrictrive public spaces are in New York. Having spent a lot of time in other places in the world, I’ve felt how restrictive public spaces become here. I really want to make a film that, in a way, is a campaign is about freedom of movement and experience.”
Watch the rest of the film as it gets released by chapter here. Otherwise keep a look out for more premieres in your hood.
